My bags are packed, I'm ready to go!
It's the final countdown. I have been trying to explain to Roderick all week that his baby sister really is coming, and she is coming SOON! Yep! I am getting induced THIS Sunday, February 27th! This afternoon I will go to Overlake Hospital to have a procedure done that will help move my body in the right direction (I will go ahead and spare you the details). Then, I will head back to the hospital on Sunday and here I will be until baby McKenna Rose is born. I can't lie... I am incredibly nervous this time around. I am not sure which is better- knowing what will happen to me or not knowing. I feel more anxious than I did when I was induced early with Roderick (all women with gestational diabetes are induced at 39 weeks). I'm not sure if its that I know what is about to happen to me or if its finally hitting me that I will have 2 kids in diapers. Either way, I am praying all goes well (and I am sure it will). I am in good hands with my doctor... who MUST think I am nuts! Before I left his office on Tuesday, I told him about my fears of the epidural. I told him I was contemplating natural labor, just so I did not have to think about that huge needle. He looked at me with a smile and said, "no offense. I just don't think you are a good candidate for natural labor." Ummm... its pretty safe to say that my doctor knows me all too well. 2 days and counting... 2 days and counting. Can't wait to hold you McKenna! XO
Is it really almost March?
Because it feels like December...
There was no complaining from our Squeak-A-Dookie (I know, we will drop the nickname before his friends start calling him that). He LOVED being outside in the freezing cold temperatures. Me on the other hand, FROZE! Hurry up Spring!!!

You're gonna miss this...
Okay, so my kid is officially advanced! He is a year and a half yet is already acting like a two year old. Is it possible that he has reached the "terrible two's" earlier than the average child? If I had a quarter for all of the temper tantrums and fits, I would be rich! Every time I get frustrated with this behavior, I think on these things...
"You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this"

Whole Lotta Love
This Valentines Day was full of love, dinner, dessert and family. Was it romantic? Not so much but hey, Valentines Day is about sharing the day with all of the people you love. Does it get better than that?
Yep, I made a heart shaped strawberry cake and cooked Harv's favorite meal; chicken casserole.
Someone REALLY liked the cake!
So did someone else!
I think it was a big hit
So was our surprise visit from...
Grandma Laura
Oh, and it would not be Valentines Day without young love (awww, Reed and Yasmin)
And the perfect ending to the perfect night- my valentine on clean up duty! XO
Don't Blink
Last weekend, our little Tinker turned 2! She had a great birthday party at the Little Gym with lots of family and friends present. Roderick had such a great time. Since he is a member of the Little Gym, he knew exactly what to do. I honestly can't believe how fast time has gone. All of the kids are growing so very fast! I think Kenny Chesney said it best, "Don't blink. Just like that you're six years old and you take a nap and you, wake up and you're twenty-five and your high school sweetheart becomes your wife...Don't blink. You just might miss your babies growing like mine did, turning into moms and dads..." These are the days...

McKenna Rose (35 weeks)
On Tuesday, we had our very last appointment with the wonderful Dr. Case. The ultra sound showed us our beautiful baby girl who is growing so fast! The Doc says she is approaching 6 lbs. and is in the 30th percentile. She is actually on the small side which is amazing since I have gestational diabetes... are you sick of hearing that yet? I know it sounds crazy but she looks like Roderick did in his 4D pics. She has the Harvie lips and nose (thank God). Can't wait to meet our darling little girl. 4 weeks and counting...
XOXO
Elsie is Three!!!
Happy 3rd Birthday Elsie!!! You have grown into such a beautiful little girl. Thanks for sharing your special day with us. Your party was a blast! You know what they say about 3 don't you? It's A LUCKY NUMBER!!! This is your year girl... it's your year! XOXO

Best Buds
These two kids spend a great deal of time together and I think its safe to say they are the best of friends. My wonderful Sister in Law Prita has both Roderick and Kennedy once a week while I go to my doctor appointments in Bellevue. The good news- they LOVE each other. The bad news- they fight like cats and dogs. I guess in our own way, we are preparing them for their little sisters that will be coming very soon. I guess there are some benefits to living in the South end (shhh, don't tell anyone I said that).
Whole lotta love
Oh, the outfit you ask??? Made by Jean of course! Thanks Jean!!! You are one talented lady!!!
