I Love Leo!!!

Always have.  Even before Titanic, I was a Leo fan.  And yes.  I did get to meet him.  But folks, I am just as excited to meet Baby Leo Thomas Sperry who is expected to arrive in Mid-November.  Congrats Kirk, Vauxy and Sydney! Can't wait to meet you my fellow Scorpio! XOXO

More Summer Fun

And we thought it was over. Not so fast Fall. We still have some more sun and we are taking full advantage of it at the Circus, the Fair, the Aquarium.

Okay, so technically it is fall.  That does not mean our adventures have to stop.  Up next? PRE-SCHOOL BABY!!! It is never too early to educate our kiddies!

Still Can't Let Go

Oh, and I guess it's about time I turn around Roderick's car seat.  Maybe I am putting this off for the same reasons.  It's another milestone in a silly way.  My son is older, he's getting longer, and he is officially a toddler.  I still can't take it.  My babies are growing up too fast! Slow down guys.  Please.

And to think that just yesterday I was telling myself that I could not WAIT until my kids were out of diapers and in school so I could have just a moment to myself.  I didn't mean it.  I am not ready to let go. 

I Can't Let Go of the "Baby Phase"

Um, looks like someone needs to make the move from the bassinet to the crib.  Why am I have such a hard time with this transition? It's not like she is going off to college.  Perhaps it is because she just keeps moving to the next stage, and SO fast.  She rolls over, she eats solids, and now she has outgrown her bassinet?  Next thing I know she will be shopping at Justice, turning up her Taylor Swift, and signing up for a Facebook account.  I can't take it. 

Come on Amy, it's not like this is such a horrible place to sleep.  Just look at this BEAUTIFUL nursery.  It's sooo super cute, if I may say so myself.  It's still not complete.  I just need a pink breathable bumper (I know. Not so adorable but so much safer and you know me, Miss Safety) I also need a chandelier and a handy man to hang it up for me! Jon??? 

That's it! I've got it! We can move into her room! Hope that's ok honey.

The Hidden Gem

Many people have never heard of Anderson Island yet alone been there.  I'm sure I have mentioned in the past that my family members have been going there since 1949.  My Great Grandma Tiny found this hidden gem years ago, making frequent visits with family and friends. 

The tradition lives on.  We headed to Anderson Island with a some of my favorite friends a few weeks back.  With 14 adults, 4 Toddlers, and 2 babies, I would say the weekend was a complete success.  With long walks to the beach, swimming in the lake, fishing, barbecuing, and bonfire nights, I never wanted this time with great friends to end.  We used to say back in college, "these are the days."  But life just continues get better.  How could it not? We have all of these little Squeezers running around all over the place.  Yes, times have changed but we still know how to do it right.
