Is a GOOD thing!

More family, more turkey, and more good times.  One Thanksgiving is just not enough. After the feast at the Harvie residence, we hit up my mom's place on the way home and did it all over again.

Soo much to be thankful for...

Family, friends and good company... does it get better than that?

This year, we spent Thanksgiving with the Harvie family in Bellingham.  It was really great to catch up with this side of the family since we don't get to see them as much as we would like.  I know Roderick loved seeing his Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles.  They sure kept him busy!

It also snowed all of Thanksgiving morning so Roderick and Harv went out to play first thing.  Roderick had a great time until he did a face plant in the snow.  Poor little guy.  This meant that daddy was forced to make the snowman all by himself... and it was not easy.  It must have been the snow :-)

Roderick and Great Aunt Janet (these two had a BLAST together)! She is the only one who has the energy to chase him up and down the stairs over and over again.  I was tired watching them.

After raining all night, we woke up to find Frosty just like this. I can still see the "two eyes made out of coal."  Poor Frosty.  We will see you next snowfall!

PS- Amy and Sam... I know you guys are the only ones who actually read the blog so here is your very own message.   It was great seeing you girls this week.  I hope we can all meet up before Christmas! As Dana would say, "lets make it happen!"

Yay! Our first snow of the season! What a great way to get us all into the Christmas spirit!  Roderick had never seen snow before so you can imagine his excitement.  Harv on the other hand, was not too thrilled to sit for 6 hours in traffic trying to get home from work.  As the song goes, "and since we've no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow." I think he sang along with us on Tuesday since he was able to work from home (thank God)!

And, he fell down about 2 seconds after he moved from his first spot.  Thats okay Roderick.  Mommy can't drive in the snow!

Kid's Club Haircut

Last Thursday, I took Roderick to get his 4th (that's right, his 4th) haircut.  This time, I took him to the Kids Club in U-Village.  No offense to Theckston, my favorite Hair Stylist, but it's way too traumatic to take him to Set Salon.  We need a big red car to get Roderick through a haircut.

Daddy Dates

Last week, Harv took a few days off of work to spend some quality time with Roderick (well, and he had lots of vacation days that needed to be used).  While I went to doctor appointments, hair appointments and ran some errands, Roderick had Harv went on a couple of adventures.

First a visit to the Aquarium with Sean, Prita, and Kennedy...

Next, a trip to Camano for Hailey's 4th birthday party! Who doesn't love a bouncy house?

Ummm... Sean? Prita? Do either of you guys have pictures of the kids'faces? Just kidding Harv.  I know you did your best to capture your adventures.  XOXO

My Birthday Weekend

This year, my birthday weekend may go down in history as one of the best! After 21, birthdays just seem to be more of a reminder of how old we are getting.  Wrinkles start to appear, the body starts to change and hangovers get 1,000 times worse! But, you know what they say, "only the lucky get old." This year, as I turned the ancient 34, I decided to embrace my age.

The fun began on Saturday, November the 6th (my actual birthday). A group of my best friends planned a relaxing and much needed girls day out.  I mean, what else can you do when your 22 weeks pregnant right? Bars and nightclubs are a no-go.  We met for lunch at Maggiano's in Bellevue and then headed to get manicures and pedicures.  It was a lovely day.  The evening ended after my wonderful husband took me to dinner at Anthony's where I enjoyed one of my all time favorite meals... crab legs. I also got an AMAZING new camera that I am so excited to learn how to use.  Look out bloggers... I met get professional on you!

Celebrating my birthday has never been a one day event! We took it a step further and went to Leavenworth with the Ayala family for a couple of days.  It was SO much fun! I had not been there since I was a kid so it was great to see all of the things that changed (and all of the things that had stayed the same).  It felt like Christmas there! Lights were up, holiday music was playing and reminders of Christmas were on every street corner. If you know me at all, you know just how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE this time of year!
