So, I admit- the blog has been a little stale these past few months.  This post should spice things up.

September 14^th - It’s finally here

What a perfect day

For a BIG brother to give his sister away

The course so gorgeous

The grass so green

The most beautiful couple

I’ve ever seen

Geesh you two, it’s been 8 years

What took you so long?

I’m pretty sure in our state

You could be common law

Let’s take a moment, let’s go way back

To the beginning days

A teenage girl who loved her friends

And so stuck in her ways

She barely legal

Only age 19

Met a nice guy

The best she had seen

An older man with ginger hair

And a tall frame to boot

A sweet smile, light eyes

 Incredibly cute

Tall, blonde, a drop dead beauty

Jon knew from the start

Even a girl with no food in her fridge

Could still steal his heart

She lived off lattes and gummy worms

That had to go

And Sam would love to date him

But he had to look just so

A trip they took, to the mall

She helped him with his style

Jon cannot pretend to lie…

It had been a while

Jon in sticker shock

Sam feeling great

“Ok now I’m ready,

Let’s have our first date”

   We’ve got a great couple

Quite the pair indeed

Jon knows all the rules

Sam is in the lead

She can drag him to a concert

Even Brittney Spears

He’ll take it like a man

With his lady and his beers

One thing I know- it’s how Jon got to her

It had to be the Pup

That bundle of fur

Mooey, Mr. Moo Pooh Bear or Pooh

Nickname your man and dog

A Harvie thing to do

And then there is stinky

Or how about stinks?

Keep those names private

What would the public think?

Friday night pizza

An 8:30 bedtime

They have a set routine

It really is a sign

She can bake, he can cook

They really are a team

It’s true you guys, it is no joke

They are as cute as they seem

  

May happiness surround you

May life treat you fair

May you love without regret

And always show you care

Marriage is work

You give and you take

But never give up

It’s a promise that you make

Can’t wait for this new chapter

A new kind of life

With love and a friendship

As husband and wife

  

It’s true, I can’t lie

I’ve said it all before

Sissy and our Roderick

Couldn’t love you more

Amazing parents, you both will be

Without a doubt I know

Just ask our kids

Straight from the heart

They will tell you so

“I love my Jonny and Auntie Sam, you really are the best.”

Congrats from this day forward
